Seperti Alkohol dan Rokok, Gula Juga Berbahaya

Sugar is considered 'toxic' and is addictive like alcohol and cigarettes, so it needs no special rules that govern it, as quoted by Dailymail, Thursday (2/2).

According to researchers from the University of California, a new policy against the sale of sugar such as tax assessment and the laws need to be taken to control the pengonsumsiannya.

Researchers think this policy is important, because someone who is addicted to sugar can trigger health problems, such as obesity, heart disease and liver. Not only that, the researchers also claimed some 35 million people die every year worldwide due to uncontrolled pengonsumsian no sugar.

Researchers also caution that obesity is now a bigger problem than malnutrition in the world. Evidently, the world sugar consumption has tripled over the last 50 years and is considered a forerunner to the cause of obesity.

Sugar not only makes people fat, but also alter the body's metabolism, raises blood pressure, makes a hormone imbalance and harm the liver.

Lusting said lead researcher Robert told the kids to keep eating and regular exercise and limiting distribution of food products sweetened beverages is not an effective way.

This study suggested that the government imposes a double tax for sales of products with high sugar, set the age of the buyer (above 17 years) and tighten auto sales and a snack bar containing high sugar in the school.
